Congratulations, Cleveland

We at SFC have been so busy fighting the Sinclair-Tribune Merger and running our Danifesto that we almost forgot why we're all here — we love sports. As fans, we would be remiss if we didn't congratulate the Cleveland Indians on the 21st consecutive win.

Today the Indians made history by defeating the Tigers 5-3 at home. They started off the game strong with three runs in the first inning and held the lead throughout the game.

This is an incredible accomplishment. The Tribe is now tied for the longest winning streak with the 1935 Chicago Cubs. There are only two other teams above them, The 1880 Chicago White Stockings (21) and the 1916 New York Giants (26).

This season the Houston Astros were leading the American League by a healthy margin, and then out of nowhere, the Indians skyrocketed to first in the AL. They still trail behind the LA Dodgers, who just clinched a postseason spot by ending an 11-game losing streak.

So, our hats are off to you Cleveland. Not only have you given us a stellar basketball team, but now a historic baseball team.

Cleveland Rocks!
