When sitting down to watch Game 1 of the NBA finals, we knew we were in for a treat. But, we didn't expect to witness history!
Thirty-eight points, eight rebounds, and as many assists from Kevin Durant was just a part of an overall great game. The Warriors won 113-91, and while Durant was responsible for a third of that, it was the defensive strategy that sealed the Cavaliers' fate. LeBron James is arguably one of the best players to ever step on the court, so the Warriors let him play, knowing that one man couldn't beat a team as in sync as the Warriors. The Warriors' defense was able to force 20 turnovers -- tied for the most turnovers in a playoff game for the Cavs in three years. On the other side, the Cavs' defense just couldn't keep up. The Warriors only had four turnovers; the least in NBA history!
Here are what the fans said:Â

Some fans still have hope:Â
When you're sad about the Cavs losing, but then remember that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead last year #nbafinals#Cavs#Warriorspic.twitter.com/NC2ilfjf0c

Do the Warriors & their embarrassing fans realize that one game doesn't win a championship? I'm not worried. I believe. #CavsMania #cavs
